Mobile App / Set up Mobile app user for Driver
Step 1.
Go to Safety
Step 2.
Go to Drivers
Step 3.
Select the driver and go to Mobile app
Step 4.
Set up a password and confirm the password.
Step 5.
Select which of the features you would like your driver to see on the Mobile App
• Allow Pay (Settlement Visible)
• Allow Rate Confirmation (Rate Confirmation Visible).
The account for your driver is ready now.
Mobile App / Dispatch Load to Driver
Step 1.
Create the load on SmartBoard from Dispatch -> Pending Loads window.
Step 2.
Assign the load to your driver. The driver will receive the following notification on his mobile phone:
- Hello John Smith. A new load has been assigned to you! Click here to view the details. Thank you!
Mobile App / Navigate the home page of the app
- When the driver receives the load, this is his home screen on the Mobile app.
- He sees his current Load and his next Load that he was preassigned for.
Number 1 pinpoint on the map is his “Pick up” location.
Number 2 pinpoint on the map is the “Delivery” location.
From this screen, the driver can call the dispatch from the button “Call Dispatch”

Click on the “black arrow” to see the “Load Details”

The driver can get directions through the Mobile app by clicking on the “arrow” next to the “Order number” as shown on the picture below.
This menu from the Mobile App gives the driver the option to get the directions from his current location to the “Pick up” or “Delivery” location by clicking on “Directions” button which will transfer you to Google Maps or Apple Maps
Mobile App / Update Status of the Load and Upload BOL
Step 1.
From the home page click on “Update Status”

Step 2.
When the driver checks in, he needs to select the correct time and date and click on the “Confirm” button and his status will be updated and seen on SmartBoard and also on his home screen.
- For every other status change of the Load, the driver needs to redo the same steps to update his status, whether it’s loading, in transit, or delivered.
Step 3.
From this screen the driver can upload the Bill of Lading and other documents from the “Upload Documents” button such as additional charge.
If the driver does not upload the “Bill of Lading” the load cannot be completed by the driver!
The uploaded documents will be seen in the SmartBoard on the load assigned to the driver.
Mobile App / Navigate the Loads page of the app
Under the “Active Trips” the driver can see all of his assigned and preassigned loads.
Under “Completed Trips” the driver can see all of his completed trips with the load information and uploaded documents.
You can also upload any additional requirement documents for the loads.

Under the “Pay Tab” the driver can see a summary of YTD Gross, Reimbursements, Deductions and Net pay and all of the statements separately.

Mobile App / Profile tab Details
Under the profile tab, the driver can see different features.
The first one is “Refer a Driver”
This option allows the driver to refer another driver that he thinks will be suitable for the company, this option will allow the driver to send the necessary information about the referred driver so that the company can contact him.
The referral will be sent on the company’s email and also can be visible on the SmartBoard under:

This is how the driver referral looks on SmartBoard.
From this menu you can either “Hire Driver” or “Change Status”
If you select “Hire Driver” it will transfer you to the “Drivers” tab to insert all of your new drivers information.
Step 3.
If you click “Change Status” you can select from the given options.
Personal information
This tab is for the driver. Here the driver can see his personal information such as Name, Driver Type, Email, Phone and Address.
Company Information
Under this option we have the “Company Information” the Driver needs to have.
Mobile App / Request time off
Here the app gives the driver an option to request a time off from the company. The driver should fill up all of the necessary information and then save it and the company will get his Request for the Time Off.
You can set an email on which you would like to receive the notifications from the Driver’s Requests. You can set that up by going to: Administration tab -> Tenant and type in the email.
The request will be also visible on SmartBoard and you can find it under:
Safety -> Drivers and you find the driver that sent the request and select “Driver’s requests”.
You will receive an email from the Driver with the request and you can decide whether you will approve it or not.
- If the drivers’ request is approved you would not be able to assign a load to the driver.
You will also receive a reminder for the Drivers request on your email.
Mobile App / Upload documents from Profile Tab
The driver can upload documents from the Mobile app which will go directly into his account on SmartBoard and will be located in Safety -> Drivers.
